# Folder Organizer with Undo (portfolio sample)

Sorts a messy folder (such as Downloads) into `Type/YYYY-MM/` subfolders, based on the file type and the date it was last modified.
- **Dry run by default.** It shows the plan and changes nothing until you add `--apply`.
- **Never deletes.** Exact duplicates (same SHA-256 content) are moved to `Duplicates/`, and name clashes get a ` (1)` suffix.
- **Undo.** Every move is written to `_organize_log.csv`, and `--undo` puts everything back and removes the empty folders.

```
python make_demo_folder.py                  # fictional messy folder
python organize.py demo_downloads           # dry run
python organize.py demo_downloads --apply
python organize.py demo_downloads --undo
python test_organize.py                     # automated round-trip test
```
Standard library only. Works on Windows, macOS and Linux.
